A Journey Back to Xanthia: The Lord He Must Become
Delve back into the Realm of Xanthia and discover the history behind this incredible world and its wonderful characters in Evelyn Briar’s prequel The Lord He Must Become.
One thing I often find when reading a series is that I’m left wanting more. I want to know more about the characters I’ve come to love (particularly a certain MMC!), what shaped them, where their stories began, and what made them into the people we meet throughout the series.
Evelyn has created such a uniquely rich fantasy world, one that is not only fast-paced and completely unputdownable, but also filled with characters that readers can’t help but become invested in.

Being able to step back into Xanthia and uncover more of their history makes this novella feel so special. Getting a glimpse into the events and experiences that shaped these characters adds another layer to a world I already loved, and honestly… who doesn’t want more of the characters they’ve fallen in love with.
If you’ve already journeyed through the Realm of Xanthia, The Lord He Must Become is a wonderful opportunity to return and discover the story that came before.
